Title: Operations Coordinator
                          
Description: The Operations Assistant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Pine Lake, welcoming guests, assisting with event coordination, student housing, administrative tasks, maintenance oversight, and community engagement. This role is hands-on and collaborative, contributing to the overall success of Hartwick’s Pine Lake campus and ensuring smooth operations for daily interactions, programs and events.

Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Serve as primary receptionist, handle inquiries, assist with administrative tasks, budget support, and maintain communication channels.
  • Event & Rental Coordination: Manage bookings, invoicing, payments, and event logistics.
  • Student Housing: Coordinate with Residential Life on housing inventory, move-in/out scheduling, and residency expectations.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Schedule and monitor facility upkeep, including snow removal, painting, and trail maintenance.
  • Social Media & Outreach: Update platforms, promote events, and foster community engagement.
  • Facility & Program Support: Assist with planning and running events, workshops, and educational programs.
  • Community Engagement: Build partnerships, represent Pine Lake at Hartwick events, and enhance visibility.
  • Flexible & Collaborative Work: Support evening/weekend programs, assist across roles, and contribute to sustainability.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Guide student Outdoor Leaders in their development.
  • Meetings & On-Call Support: Attend staff and stakeholder meetings, provide emergency assistance, and cover the welcome desk as needed.
  • As a representative of the College, expected to comport oneself in a professional manner at all times, both on and off campus.
  • Comply with all applicable College, Federal, State, local and associational laws, rules and regulations.
  • Participate in significant campus activities including Welcome Weekend, True Blue Weekend, and Commencement Weekend.
Qualifications: Minimum requirements for the position are an Associate’s degree (preferred) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience. 
  • CPR/AED and Basic First Aid
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in event management or administrative roles.
  • Commitment to sustainability, teamwork, and hands-on problem-solving.
  • Occasionally required to life and/or move 50 pounds.

Wage Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
